Floral
Arrangement for Events, Homes and Gardens
Born
into a family of landscapers and gardeners, my childhood love
and appreciation of nature has increased and deepened over the
years. In our fast-paced and high tech world I am convinced
that we all need to re-connect with nature, to touch and feel
the spark of life within the plant kingdom.
Whether
I incorporate glass or handmade objects into my garden spaces,
the intent is always the same, to bring you full circle, back
to your nature within. Herein lies a special place to just simply
Be.
I
hope you enjoy your stroll through my creative expressions
of beauty, and may the muse of my work speak to you.
With
a sculptor's sense of form, a painter's eye for color,
a poet's sensitivity, and a designer's attention to
detail, Vivi Teston presents Studio
Fleur de V, a comprehensive design studio dedicated
to integrating the refined qualities of art with the
luscious beauty of nature in environmental/site-specific
mixed media aromatic floral and garden installations.
Whether
I create a piece in nature or inside the home,
my intent is always the same in that the process/product
become coexistent, a ritual, a linking up of man
and nature. The pieces become vehicles for heart,
mind and soul to travel to another space and time
or a very intimate space inside. You could even say
it's a striking up of a kinship with flowers, found
objects, rocks, wood, shells that inspire me; anything
and everything that has a beautiful form, texture, and
color. These are the seeds of my work that fertilize
a childlike curiosity and wonderment.

I love to celebrate with seasonal fruits, flowers, vegetables.
Each month of the year nature brings us a rich variety of
new treasures to be found, whether it be the classic pumpkins
and harvest of the fall, the fresh raspberries of summer,
the fabulous white of freshly fallen snow, and the emergence
of crocus in the spring. From this I create your bridal bouquet,
the most decadent soiree, or single most intimate interlude.
The
inspiration for this garden was based upon the patterns and
cut-out shapes created by the artist Henri Matisse. I used herbs/grasses
and then embellished with recycled glasses, other man-made materials
and mixed media sculpture.
