As
a California primary healthcare practitioner, Mary's philosophy
is to get patients healthy and back on their feet in as little
time as possible. At a time when healthcare has taken a backseat
to profits, Mary is trying to buck this trend by providing caring,
affordable care to each and every patient.
She
is a graduate of South
Baylo University in Anaheim, California, with a Bachelor of
Science in Holistic Science and a Master of Science in Acupuncture
and Oriental Medicine. Mary received her Doctor of Acupuncture
and Oriental Medicine degree at Emperor's
College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica.
She is also a member of the Doctors
Speakers Bureau and an affiliate of Doctors for Nutrition.
A
former court reporter for 25 years, Mary found her calling to
acupuncture and Oriental medicine when a family member became
ill with cancer. As she searched for health solutions for this
family member, Mary discovered the National Institutes of Health
consensus statement regarding the efficacy of acupuncture. She
also discovered that acupuncture and Oriental medicine is one
of the newest primary care professions in the United States and
that the benefits of acupuncture have become widely recognized
and integrated with mainstream healthcare. She then realized that
her purpose was to help as many people as she possibly could to
overcome our current system of 'sickcare' versus 'healthcare.'
