Massage
therapy is an ancient form of healing that can transform and
heal the body, as well as unite the body, mind and heart to
wholeness. I am committed to helping you find comfort, peace
and deep relaxation from your therapeutic massage experience.
Massage has been found to improve circulation, joint range-of-motion,
flexibility, immunity, and overall health. It can reduce many
common ailments such as stress, muscle tightness, aches and
pains - even anxiety and depression.
This is your time to relax and feel what it is like to heal
your body.
Choose from a variety and combination of treatments:
•Swedish Massage
•Deep Tissue Massage
•Hot Stone Massage
•Seated Chair Massage
•Pregnancy Massage
•Energy Healing
•Craniosacral Therapy
•Aromatherapy
•Senior
Massage
I
am happy to assess your needs and help you choose what combination
of treatments will best fulfill you.
I believe that my clients' needs are of great importance.
I am committed to working with each individual to both facilitate
and encourage a flourishing body --- full of life, openness,
and beauty. I am committed to establishing a safe environment
and trusting relationship, most conducive to a healing experience.
My
bodywork training began at the Fingerlakes School of Massage
in Ithaca, NY in 2004, where I completed 1000 hours of training.
This included specializations in Swedish, Integrative, Connective
(deep) Tissue, Energy Balancing, Pregnancy, Hydrotherapy,
Hot Stone, Aromatherapy, Seated Chair, among others. I have
additional 200 hour training from Mueller College of Holistic
Studies in San Diego, and Craniosacral I from The Upledger
Institute. I am a practicing member of the National
Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork
(NCTMB) since 2004 and the Associated
Massage and Bodywork Professionals (AMBP). My intention
as a therapist is to allow for the full presence of each client,
and to encourage deeper relaxation into the body--opening
to the gifts that are available every moment. I incorporate
a unique blend of modalities to provide a deeply healing experience.
I welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and assist you
to a state of true wellness.
Services
Swedish
Massage
Relax and rejuvenate with a therapeutic combination of long,
gentle strokes ideal for increased circulation and blood flow.
This type of massage manipulates soft tissue, flowing toward
the heart to aide in deeper relaxation, improved circulation
and reduced swelling. Great for overall well-being and increased
immunity.
Deep Tissue
This specialized technique allows for deeper tissue connection,
and breaks up scar tissue adhesions, and tense muscular "knots".
It can be very therapeutic, allowing for a thorough experience
of tension release and relaxation into the natural structure
of the body.
Integrative
Massage
This technique combines a variety of modalities, creating
an overall complete experience of therapeutic massage. I combine
Swedish, Energy Balancing, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, and Reflexology
into an integrated session.
Connective Tissue Therapy
A combination of Deep Tissue and Trigger Point Therapy, this
technique can be slow and deep, allowing for natural tissue
response. It can be an especially transformative and deeply
healing modality.
Senior
Massage
Massage has many benefits for people who are aging. The NIH
recognizes Massage Therapy as a Complimentary Alternative
Medicine stating the goal of the therapy is to relax the soft
tissues, increase delivery of blood and oxygen to the massaged
areas, warm them, and decrease pain. In addition to this,
massage can be deeply relaxing and help with lethargy and
depression that can sometimes present during major life changes.
Pregnancy Massage
The experience of pregnancy and motherhood is incredibly precious
and both mom and baby benefit from regular pre- and post-natal
massage! If appropriate, special oil blends can be mixed to
provide greater relaxation and comfort during this special
time. Treat yourself or someone you love to a series today.
