Maryejo del Meijer is a licensed massage therapist, holds a M.A. degree in Counseling and an M.A. degree in Spiritual Psychology. Maryejo has been practicing for over twenty years. She has taught many classes and workshops and has worked with thousands of private clients. She resides in Santa Barbara, CA.

My approach is gentle and nurturing, yet powerful. I believe in the innate ability of each of us to tap into our inner wisdom. My work encourages clients to trust themselves. I use the skills and therapies that I have mastered in my own life through education and experience with thousands of clients. My clients report after a session a general sense of feeling balanced physically and emotionally, more attuned to themselves and capable of handling life's challenges. My work is intuitive, and spontaneous. Sessions vary from strictly massage when relaxation, nurturing or pain relief is needed, to working with emotional issues and life skill coaching. A combination of mind, body and spiritual approaches are woven together uniquely for each client. I use a holistic approach to well-being, viewing body, mind and spirit as one. The body does not lie!

I create a safe environment so my clients feel comfortable in talking with me about their issues. I encourage clients to bring forth their issues because in my experience people move easily into a state of well being when all the levels are addressed.

It’s fulfilling to be a catalyst for clients in releasing blocks that have held them back from living a full, self expressed life. Clients report experiencing a greater sense of well-being and move toward fulfilling their dreams. In the work people discover the core of an issue that may be related to pain or stress in their bodies. Addressing the root of a problem, using the Body therapy work helps people to release outlived patterns and stagnant energy from their bodies. Through this transformative process people have reported feeling balanced, uplifted, more joyful and experiencing their true Self.

My first pregnancy was very traumatic to me. I lost one of my twin babies at birth. I knew the chances of her survival were minimum all through my pregnancy and there were many complications. As a result, there was a lot of sadness, anger, love, hope, fear and anxiety, all of them ranging inside of me.

When I became pregnant again I was very lucky to have Maryejo beside me to help me get in a place where I could let go of past loss, fears, anxiety and sadness related to being pregnant again. All of this through her kind touch, her guided meditation and through key questions. Her services helped me connect with my new baby, get in touch with her subtle ways of communicating to me, allowed me to know her deeper, supported me in releasing the fear of losing her and support my body and mind through the wonderful journey of growing life inside of me.

She also performed a blessing ceremony which created an invaluable bond between my self an other supporting women that helped me in the process, it prepared me for giving birth and strengthened my spirit to welcome my baby into this world.

Metamorphosis is a gentle type of touch that is applied to specific points on the feet, hands and head. The focus is on reflex areas of the spine, which correspond to the pre-natal time. The period before birth is the formative time in which the body is shaped and attitudes and patterns of our mental and emotional structure are established. Stress which occurs at conception and in the nine-month gestation period influences our life after birth. The intention is to bring the prenatal time into focus in order to release blocks and limiting patterns. Metamorphosis acts as a catalyst to gently release and clear patterns in the body which have been held by the client. The practitioner of Metamorphosis is simply the catalyst; the client's natural inner intelligence releases patterns and blocks in its own time. So Metamorphosis as a process is subtle, yet powerful... powerful yet subtle. Often the result is that an actual metamorphosis of our attitudes towards ourselves and life takes place, which frees us from the past and enables us to fulfill our potential. Not unlike the caterpillar that "morphs" into a butterfly.
