Kirsten is an accomplished belly dancer. She has studied the dance since 1987 and been performing since 1988. She has trained with many master teachers in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. She has performed as a soloist and with many dance groups at many venues, including restaurants, parties and cultural events in Santa Barbara, Ventura, Ojai and Oxnard. She has also performed internationally in Mexico and Turkey. She currently dances as a solo artist and is co-director of Troupe Jamillat al Waha, a group dedicated to practicing and performing the dances of the Middle East.

Belly Dance is an experience of beautiful floating veils, sparkling jewels and jingling coins. For girls of all ages its a chance to dress up, dance and have lots of fun. Kirsten will come to your party and bring all the costume pieces and music necessary. The total dance/play time consists of a short performance, dance lesson and playtime/open dancing. It's guaranteed delight for everyone.

Kirsten and her former partner Laura Alvarez (who now teaches dance in Barbados) have been featured at the Bacara Resort Children's Center and numerous parties throughout the Santa Barbara area.

Magical Belly Dance Play is not just for children. Kirsten can prepare a class for any party and any age group.
