I
strongly believe in the resilience of the human psyche. It takes
great courage to connect with one's hurts and disappointments.
My love for the human spirit assists me in helping my clients
to find that courage.
The basic premise of my work is that however buried it might be,
we all know what we need. I am here to assist you in learning
to trust yourself, to listen to your inner wisdom, and identify
your very own healing tools.
It
is my great joy to help connect you with your passion and your
own inner resources.
Mind-Body
Healing Sessions
I
use a method of healing that uses energy balancing in combination
with a journey inward. Clients are assisted and supported in finding
their own healing tools through a new understanding of their personal
wounds. Through this deeply effective process, clients are empowered
to live a more authentic and proactive life.
Each
session is 60 to 90 minutes in length. It is a two-part process.
The
first part is cognitive. We sit together and identify an issue
or area of concern for our session's focus. Often I start with
asking the question "Where in your life would you like more
choice or more freedom?"
The
second part involves establishing trust and a "safe place"
within which to do the balancing and process work on the massage
table.
We
can address a whole range of issues including anxiety, depression,
divorce, relationship, parenting, grief, finding your joy and
spiritual connection.
Sessions
cost $120.00
Nature
Walks
I
offer unique coaching sessions on the hiking trail, guiding you
into a deeper connection with your inner self while walking in
Nature. I love taking people into Nature, away from the city or
crowded neighborhoods. I find that I have a much clearer view
of my life and a much greater insight into my challenges as I
walk in the hills. It is a pleasure to introduce my clients to
this practice and to act as a guide in their process of self-exploration
as we walk and talk together in beautiful surroundings.
Weekend Retreats in Nature
Introduction
to the Medicine Wheel, to Council Circle and to the Vision Quest,
with an optional “solo sit” ranging from 4 to 24 hours.
The
Council Circle is the practice of speaking and listening from
the heart. Through compassionate, heartfelt expression and empathic,
non-judgmental listening, Council inspires a non-hierarchical
form of deep communication that can be an immensely valuable tool
for self-exploration and communion with others.
About Rudi
Rudi
was born and raised in Switzerland and moved to the States in
1991 at the age of 25. In Switzerland, she studied languages;
Rudi speaks French, Italian, German, Swiss German and English.
When she first moved to the States, she got a teaching credential
as a Montessori Teacher and worked in a Montessori and an art
School for the next 4 years.
Then she took a long break from the work force to attend to her
children. Rudi has two wonderful young children: a daughter and
son and she helped to raise two beautiful step-daughters.
Rudi
is a wonderful role model for families with children. When I visit
her home, I could be in Switzerland in the 1950s. The garden is
thriving, the kitchen is aromatic, there are nooks with an open
book next to a cozy chair and the TV is OFF. Mealtime is family
time everyone is gathered around the table. In between activities,
the house is quiet, the windows are open, you can hear the birds
outside and you can hear your own mind and heart.
While
being a parent, Rudi finished her undergraduate work in psychology
at Antioch
University and her graduate degree in Counseling Psychology
at Pacifica
Graduate Institute. She is currently doing her internship
at the Santa Barbara
Family Therapy Institute.
