“An
innate healer resides within each of my clients. We work
together to awaken that. I believe in the healing power
of touch, and have seen how relaxation positively impacts
both physical and emotional health. My sessions are customized
to address both aspects.”
Kristen offers customized massage sessions, blending the
relaxing benefits of Swedish massage with the healing benefits
of acupressure and deep tissue work. In this way imbalances
and holding patterns in the physical, emotional, and spiritual
body are most closely addressed. Intuitive and genuine,
Kristen creates a safe space where clients can release emotions
and fully relax, thus activating their own powerful healing
potential. She believes that healing is a dynamic, synergistic
process that both therapist and client are actively engaged
in. Survivors of trauma have found sessions with Kristen
to be extremely valuable.*

"As a person with a history of schizophrenia
and suffering from emotional distress, Kristen's
touch and care has been a tremendous part of my
recovery. She has the ability to listen, understand
and guide people with complex and diverse problems
like myself towards wellbeing and happiness. In
addition to her perceptiveness for healing, she
is a keen massage therapist."

Kristen
studied massage and traditional herbalism in Brazil, and
received training and certification through the Santa
Barbara Body Therapy Institute. She currently offers
60-minute and 90-minute massage treatments, which often
incorporate the use of sustainable wild-crafted rainforest
products. She also provides additional herbal consultations
and uses products that support environmental conservation
and traditional knowledge of Indigenous peoples of the
Americas. Having studied herbal medicine directly with
local people, Kristen believes in the transformative power
of plant medicines, and continues ongoing apprenticeships
to enrich her understanding of them. Ten percent of all
session fees is directly given to “plant the seeds”
of the Medicine Tree Project, a social business designed
to conserve forest land through the sustainable harvesting
of medicinal products. Please contact Kristen for more
information and dates of future group journeys to Brazil.
